CALL FOR REVIEWERS: Public Call for Reviewers

The Journal of Institutional Studies, affiliated to Faculdade Nacional de Direito (UFRJ), invites researchers from Brazil and abroad that have interest and availability to compose its reviewer’s board.

Doctors, affiliated or not to institutions of research and education, must fill the inscription forms in the following link: <https://www.estudosinstitucionais.com/REI/user/register>

The Journal of Institutional Studies is a periodic of public access intended to publish digitally unpublished and original works related to Public Law subjects especially Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and State Theory or that address institutional aspects related to law and other areas such as Political Science, Political Philosophy and Economic Analysis of Law.

The reviewer must aid the cientifical development of the authors. Therefore he/her will have the responsibility to review articles designated to his/her competence, paying attention to the deadline of the task. After the diligent exam of the articles, the reviewer must present his/hers observations directed to the editorial board and authors about the manuscript evaluated.

The reviewers will receive a certification to each of the reviews completed.

At last, pay attention, when registering it is crucial to fill of the areas of interest to review since the articles will be appointed thereby.

Dear Professors,

REI – Journal of Institutional Studies, associated to the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro Law School, publication with quarterly periodicity electronically available (ISSN 2447-5467), makes public the call for selection of ad hoc peer reviewers with graduation in Law or in the area of applied social sciences.

Requirements for the selection are doctoral degree or active enrollment in a doctoral course, scientific production compatible with the editorial line of the journal and with the standards adopted by CAPES in its periodic evaluations of Postgraduate courses in Law. The ones interested in being part of the reviewers board must complete or update their registration at Register | JOURNAL OF INSTITUTIONAL STUDIES (estudosinstitucionais.com), not forgetting to indicate:

Full name;
Academic degree;
Lattes curriculum address;
Institution affiliation;
Mail address;
Areas of interest to evaluate articles for the Journal.

Remanding that the Journal receives unpublished and original works related to Public Law subjects especially Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and State Theory or that address institutional aspects related to law and other areas such as Political Science, Political Philosophy and Economic Analysis of Law.

EXTENSION OF THE CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF WORKS

Article I - The Journal of Institutional Studies associated to the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro Law School, which publishes twice a year original manuscript electronically available (ISSN 2447-5467), makes public the extension of the call for submission of works in the modalities of scientific articles, bibliographic reviews and jurisprudential comments by national and abroad researchers, which can be submitted to review in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish.

Article II - The Journal receives academical works unpublished and original works related to Public Law subjects especially Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and State Theory or that address institutional aspects related to law and other areas such as Political Science, Political Philosophy and Economic Analysis of Law.

Article III - The new deadline to submit works is NOVEMBER 06 th, 2017.

Sole Paragraph: the submitted text after the indicated deadline in the caput of this article will be used and evaluated for the subsequent edition.

Article IV - The works must be submitted on-line, with no authorship identification, assuring an evaluation peer-biased by registration as an author in the journal website which can be found in the following address: JOURNAL OF INSTITUTIONAL STUDIES (estudosinstitucionais.com).

Sole Paragraph: The submitted works must follow the Authors GuideLines and the Submission Preparation Checklist, in addition to the authors agreeing with the Copyright Notice, all available in the following address: Submissions | JOURNAL OF INSTITUTIONAL STUDIES (estudosinstitucionais.com)

Article V - Approved works will be published preferably in the next edition, whose publication is scheduled for JULY 2017.

Section I - Having a great number of approvals the manuscripts not published in the edition scheduled for January 2018 will be allocated in the following edition, estimated for the second semester of 2018.

Section II - Authors will not be entitled to remuneration for his/hers published works, nor will receive a printed copy as it is an exclusively electronic publication.

DEADLINE EXTENSION

Art. 1º. The Journal of Institutional Studies, a biannual publishing affiliated to the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro Law School – Brazil, electronically available (ISSN 2447-5467), makes public the deadline extension to scientific papers submission and also bibliographic reviews and jurisprudential notes, from national and foreign researchers which may be submitted to evaluation in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish language.

Art. 2º. The Journal receives unpublished and original academic papers, submitted for publication by digital media, which reflect interdisciplinary research based on critical methodologies and approaches related to subjects on Public Law, specially Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Theory of State, or the ones that address institutional issues relating Law and its common fields such as Political Science, Political Philosophy and Economic Analysis of Law.

Art. 3º. The new submission deadline is MAY 15, 2017.

Art. 4º. Papers should be submitted online, without identification of authorship, ensuring blind peer review, and upon registering as an author on the Journal’s website, which can be found at the following link: http://estudosinstitucionais.com/index.php/REI/index.

Section. Submitted papers should follow the Author Guidelines and Submission Preparation Checklist. And further more authors should agree with the Copyright Policy, allavailable on the following link: http://estudosinstitucionais.com/index.php/REI/about/submissions#authorGuidelines.
