Overall balance of the general guidelines and normative sources of Brazilian administrative law between the 1970s and 2020s, and their relation to the political, economic, and social status of the country. Analysis, based on the author's experience during this period, of the usual and alternative practices for teaching the subject. Advocacy for a realistic, pragmatic, and skeptical approach as a path to the development of the field, as well as active methodologies to promote effective and transformative learning.
